Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Derbyshire Air Conditioning website and the services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Our services

Derbyshire Air Conditioning Ltd provides air conditioning installation, servicing, maintenance and repair services for domestic, commercial and automotive customers. All work is carried out by qualified, F-Gas certified engineers.

Quotes and pricing

• All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
• Quotes are based on the information provided and a site survey where applicable
• Additional work not included in the original quote will be discussed and agreed before being carried out
• Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable

Warranties

• Manufacturer warranties apply as per the specific equipment installed
• As a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Diamond Dealer, qualifying MHI installations carry up to a 7-year parts warranty
• Warranty terms are provided in writing at the time of installation
• Warranties may be voided if equipment is tampered with, not maintained, or used outside its design parameters

Payment terms

• Payment terms will be agreed before work commences
• For domestic installations, a deposit may be required to secure equipment orders
• Commercial work is invoiced on completion unless otherwise agreed

Cancellation and deposits

For domestic customers, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of agreement under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided work has not commenced and equipment has not been specially ordered at your request. This does not affect your statutory rights.

A deposit is required to secure your installation date(s) and to order your equipment. By paying a deposit and confirming your order, you authorise us to order equipment specifically for your installation and to reserve your installation date(s) — turning away other work to do so.

Where you cancel after equipment has been ordered or dates reserved, your deposit will be applied against the costs we have incurred on your behalf, including equipment ordered specifically for your job and installation time reserved. Equipment that is a special or bespoke order, or that our supplier will not accept back, is non-refundable; where equipment can be returned, we will refund that element only, less the supplier’s restocking charge (typically 15%) and any return carriage.

Cancellations must be made in writing. As the booked installation date approaches, the costs we have committed on your behalf increase, and the deposit will be retained accordingly.

Liability

We carry full public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the contract for the specific work carried out. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
